Beginners course

Who is it suitable for?

Adults who would like to learn the basics of indoor climbing. At the end of the course you can become a member of the Leeds Wall enabling you to climb unsupervised and bring in up to 2 guests. Minimum age 18 years old. If you are just looking to refresh skills then a Belay Course may be more suitable.

What does the course consist of?

The Beginners Course is a 4 week comprehensive introduction to indoor climbing. After a tour of the Centre you will learn about basic climbing techniques, equipment, and bouldering. It is also a great way to meet new friends.

What do you need?

Only yourself! All equipment and instruction is included in the price. We also offer you a discount voucher so that you can build up your own kit.

When can you do it?

Beginners Courses start the first week of every month. You attend for 4 weeks 7-9pm on the same evening each week. If you are unable to attend all 4 weeks on the same evening you may find a Belay Course more suitable as times are flexible.

Beginners Courses are popular so please book early to avoid disappointment. Please note payment is required at the time of booking.

Fully qualified instructors, trained to the highest standard, run all courses and activities. Whatever your ability we aim to offer you the opportunity to experience a new challenge.
