The Leeds Wall Junior Team is made up of those enthusiastic and talented individuals looking to compete in house and at national events.  The group meet each Tuesday for personal coaching.  Members may come from climbers at the Leeds Wall, living locally or progressing from the Lizards Club.  We support our team in attending a range of competitions and promoting climbing for all.

The Leeds Wall has seen many great climbers over the years and has been used for training by various members of the British Team.  We have also hosted the National Team Trials on several occasions.

Personal Profile of Hannah Cornish

Hi I'm Hannah, I'm 13 years old, I have dark brown hair and (unfortunately) very pale skin! I'm quite tall (apparently) but I'm one of the smallest in my year so I don't get that!
Some of my favourite things are...

  • Sorry but I may have to put chocolate here!
  • My friends! (sounds corny but they are my life!)
  • Climbing (obviously)
  • My dogs-Tilly and Bella-they are so unbelievably cute!
  • Art and D.T (I love to have loads of creative lisence!)
  • Funny thing to put on this list but...seafood (unlike Ellie!)
  • My chemistry time with Milly and Olivia!
  • Umm....Unusual foods, I will try anything...including ostritch (It is really yummy!)

Though I may like some interesting things, there are many normal things that I don't like...
  • Physics! I cannot stand the subject it actually sends me to sleep!
  • Broccoli...it is just so disgusting (yes I will eat ostritch and baby octupi but no I won't eat broccoli!)
  • My braces! They mean I'm in pain and...I can't eat chocolate!!!!!!!
  • COD5 My brother is constantly playing on it! It is horrible!

That's all I can think of about me! Hope you enjoyed reading!

Personal profie of Jacob Lowe

Jacob Lowe started climbing at the age of 6 during a summer camping trip to the Lake District. Jacob tried some indoor climbing one rainy afternoon, he enjoyed it so much he asked if he could do it again. Since then Jake has climbed competitively including the BRYCS over the last two years. Jake was invited to join the Leeds Wall team in early 2008.

When Jake isn’t climbing at the Leeds Wall he enjoys climbing at Almscliff and Caley Crag and more recently has tried climbing at Hetchell Crag.

Jake also does a bit of  mountain biking, his favourite is the Dalby red route.

Jake relaxes by listening to Paul Weller, Nickelback, Redhotchillipeppers and Yello.

Jakes favourite food to fuel all these activities is his mums Lasagne or Pizza washed down with Dr Pepper.
